This is held on Mondays and starts at 2.00 pm meant to end at 4.00pm but can go on ’til 4.30 pm. It is mainly patchwork (some beautiful quilts were there) but I sat with ladies doing crochet & knitting. You pay 15 centimes a week for tea, cake, coffee. There is a yearly charge of 7 euroes (yes, 7 euroes). It is held at the Mediatheque in Sainte Mere Eglise.
Thoroughly enjoyable. All French ladies. I speak some French and they were really friendly and welcoming. They like to try out their English on me. I found this club whilst chatting to a French lady at the Coffee Talk club.

The first club I found was on a leaflet in Super U so have a look through your local supermarkets ads. When I read about it I thought the mediatheque was some medical centre (doh!) but hadn’t picked up the word media in it. It is a library /media centre with meeting rooms. See if there is a mediatheque near you or if not a library (my daughter used to teach different crafts in libraries in uk until they started closing them down). Good luck with your search.
