Drumming up trade for Bacon by the box… needing English speaking helpline numbers for organisations that don’t have one as well as organisations that do… fear not brian61, I’m sure all the usual questions and thinly disguised adverts will arrive, just give them time B-)

But today’s Easter and this afternoon I’m off to the Easter fair in Vimoutiers, fingers crossed the rain holds off.

    Hello Witchy Poo,
There is an interesting reply from Martin on the AI Normandy site about their way ahead.
I noted that their site is still attracting on average 3 new customers/forumers per day, so maybe they have something right.
Can I ask what U.I.N. will be doing to get more people onto your site ?

Does it have to be English speaking Cheddar cheese?

As for promoting this site, I have done all I can, sticking up my poster click here and handing out the site’s official flyers.

So far only 2 people have asked for a copy of the poster, but if you want one just ask by PM, but don’t forget to give me your email address as PM’s don’t show this.

    Allegedly. ;-)

And they could be existing members having to re-join. For whatever reason. :mail:

@Admin How about putting an ad in The Connexion or better still get them to write a piece about the fun you’ve had setting this community service up.
    Ditto The Local.
Can’t remember the name of that funny little mag that I see occasionally.

Don’t you think admin have spent enough on setting up this site? I agree that it would be nice if the Connection was to do a article about it.

It is here for our use, free of charge except for the small charge for advertising, and if we want it to grow we should be doing something positive to promote it. I’ve done my bit, and will continue to do so.

So let me re-phrase Brian’s question. What are YOU doing to get more people onto the site ?

    I’m writing stimulating posts!
    Coming up with excellent ideas.
AND I’ve told my friend, well more of an associate, all about the site.

Anyone who admits peeing on his cat is doing his bit!
Patience and just keep spreading the word..a letter to the French connection might get printed and wouldn’t cost!

I think that it is worthwhile bringing this post back to the top. :mail:

Still missing the postings about cheddar cheese, bacon, beans and tea bags. Perhaps people don’t need these items any more.

Brian I recently had a couple of deliveries. 2 kilos of Tesco mature cheddar cheese, followed by 240 Yorkshire tea bags, a dozen tins of Lidl baked beans and salad cream. The cheese, salad cream and beans are just luxuries. By that I mean I can live without them, but I must have decent tea. I don’t bother with bacon.

As for people who put in orders for huge deliveries of UK groceries, all I can say is WHY? We have supermarkets full of food in France. The delivery charges for UK goods would buy a load of stuff here.
