Hi all, i am looking for the best and cheapest very dark, porous breathable, ground sheet weed control on rolls.

I have seen lots in garden centres (Pont Verte) but this is quite expensive and i need approx 40-60 sq meters

Any ideas where i can get it from?

    Thanks

    Sarah xx

    Best ≠ Cheapest.

Lidl sometimes have it on sale, but you need to keep an eye out in the pub for it, then get there first thing Thursday morning.

If it doesn’t have to be dark, then geotextile matting for driveways is relatively cheap, but I’ve only seen it grey.

If it doesn’t have to be porous, ask a farmer for heavy duty black plastic; they use tons of the stuff.

Personally, I would avoid the Lidl or Aldi versions as the quality is not the best.

I buy it from Agrial and its very cheap.  I went in the other day and ordered 3.3m (roll width) x 10m and the cost was 45€.  It is called in French, toile de paillage.  It is also in larger sized rolls which were as a guess 5+m wide and as long as you want although this would be a little more.
